We believe in exploring as many of the great trails Colorado has to offer. We also believe in meeting up after at at a local pub or restaurant for food and drinks to explore many of the little digs one might never think to search out.
Join us for on and off-piste Telemark, Randonee/AT, snowboarding, and the ocassional snowshoe and touring outing. We do resort days, day tours, hut trips, and backcountry (avy skills required), outings.
Welcome, Active Outdoors Fans! The Denver Trail Heads is a group for people with a wide array of interests in the outdoors. We will be hiking, snowshoeing, camping, cross country skiing, etc. Occasionally you will see a backpack or camping trip or an overnight at one of the many Forest Service cabins. Denver Day Hikers is a group of folks who love the Colorado outdoors. Although we primarily hike, we also love other outdoor activities—from downtown walking tours to snowshoeing to rafting. We've been posting more and more hikes as 'invite only' or off meetup based on troubles we've had with inexperienced or unreliable hikers. This is an invitation only group for the regulars who've established themselves as capable hikers and friends. Please be aware of your limitations though, hikes on this site will be more advanced-particularly those posted by Matt or Zach. Slalom Gates Ski Club is a non-profit, recreational club run by volunteers with a primary emphasis on skiing. Our group also enjoys most winter and summer activities. We have been in existence for over 20 years and have a small but dedicated group of members (about 150). Club members (couples and singles) are typically 30 or older in age.
